How integration works on your platform
For WordPress: AI features are implemented as a custom plugin or child theme addition. They connect to AI APIs via PHP using WordPress's wp_remote_post() function, with API keys stored as WordPress options (never in code). Output is delivered via AJAX endpoints or REST API.
For Shopify: AI features connect via the Storefront API for product data and customer data. Frontend delivery uses Shopify's theme infrastructure (Liquid or headless). API calls run server-side via a lightweight middleware layer, not from the browser.
